THE FALLEN'S VALLEY

Located in the cliff of the Dale, in the skirt of the mount Abantos, inside the I finish municipal of San Lorenzo of The Escorial, we have the Fallen's Valley, funeral monument lifted as memory of all those that died during the Spanish civil war.

It took charge their construction to architects Pedro Muguruza and Diego Méndez, the works began in 1940 and they concluded in 1959; the group of gigantic dimensions, consists of an enormous basilica dug in the rock and with a great cross in the exterior of 150 m of height.
